The Eureka Science Awards were held in August this year bringing together some of Australia's leading scientists, medical professionals, industry leaders, philanthropists, journalists, young researchers, teachers and school students.
NSW Chief Scientist and Engineer Professor Mary O'Kane said the awards highlighted the importance of science and mathematics education.
Profesor O'Kane presented the NSW Trade & Investment Eureka Prize Award for Excellence in Science or Mathematics teaching to Geoff McNamara of Melrose High, ACT.
